You did a wonderfull job in talking about Aunt Fannie. I attended the Church of the Brethren since birth. Fannie was a blessing to everyone she knew and she touched so many lives. She was a remarkable woman, and she is greatly missed by all. Thank you for keeping her spirt alive.

I had the pleasure to have these 4 women in my life, they were my grandfather's (B.B. Wimmer) sisters. They were an inspiration in my life and we really do miss them. I don't think there will ever be any 4 like them again.

TWO SISTERS:
I'm sorry for your recent loss. I have not passed judgment on anyone.
Her children were aged eleven, seven and two when her husband walked out, leaving the family in a tiny three-room cinder block house with no indoor bathroom. She and her children saw little child support, few visits and even fewer birthday cards.
I stand by that statement today just as I did when I wrote it.
Any further discussion on this matter should be done privately. There is a CONTACT link at the top of this page. Use it.

I think you need to check your history-especially the paragraph about the husband walking out. Yes-maybe the husband did leave--but the rest of the paragraph is completely untrue. I have a question for you since you too have had a "husband walk out," what gives you the right to pass judgement on someone else!! I agree that Fannie was a remarkable woman--but it was my understanding that you two really weren't that close--so what made you feel so compelled to present such a story? Again, you need to get your facts straight!! We all loved Fannie but at least we were honest about our feelings and had no need to fabricate a relationship.

Aunt Angum is now at peace with the Lord and with her sisters, and God Bless you for writing this beautiful tribute to my grandmother and my aunts who meant the world to me. Their character, strength and love inspire me every day and thank you for reminding me of their journey.
