Today and in the coming days of healing,

WE ARE ALL HOKIES.

Godspeed.

Editor’s note: I am one of the 12,000 people without electricity in the Martinsville/Henry Co. area. When it’s restored, you best believe I have a lot to say about this tragedy.

Ms. Badrose, I do so enjoy your blog! I’m Wendi’s Mom, and it’s been a long time since I’ve seen you. This tragedy has struck too close to home, and reminds us all that it truly can happen anywhere, anythime. These students and all of the staff have some tough day ahead, but they will eventually heal to some extent. Virginia is in the spotlight for something so horrendous it’s hard to comprehend, but we are VIRGINIANS, and that’s a wonderful thing to be. Let us all show the world our dignity and our love to all those affected by this hateful thing. Barbara

Barb - I can’t tell you how delighted I am to hear from you! You know you’ve reared a helluva daughter and should be proud. I am!

I’m with you 100% on this being the time for love and dignity - even when all I feel is sadness and anger.

It certainly hasn’t killed us so it must be making us stronger . . right?
