Obama’s Subliminal Marketing?

Filed under: Things that make me say, "hmmmmm . . ", National, fun stuff — Badrose at 2:07 pm on Wednesday, January 30, 2008

Maybe it’s because I have a degree in psychology (would you like fries with your order?) or maybe I’ve come to believe that everything has more than one meaning or maybe I’m just overdue for a “makeover” BUT:

Has anyone else noticed this?  Coincidence or clever subliminal marketing?  There’s the obvious visual allusion in the CHANEL black/white logo and the more subtle psychological allusion:  the CHANEL style and fashion is described as having five essentials:  audacious, perfectionist, unique, passionate, and visionary.  All desirable qualities in a candidate, wouldn’t you say?

So, are we supposed to choose our next president much like we choose our Spring wardrobe?  Then I’m voting for the candidate that: doesn’t wrinkle easily, hides dirt, makes me look twenty pounds thinner, won’t go out of style or cost me more than a hundred bucks.

Barack Obama’s marketing people are brilliant and well worth every penny he pays them.  Every time I thought of Obama, I subconsciously thought perfect mix of black, white, elegance, audacity, perfection, uniqueness, passion and vision (that I can’t afford).

Unfortunately, Ted Kennedy smashed the allusion.  Audacious? Possibly.  Costs more than I can justify?  Definitely.

In fairness, I’ve looked for subliminal messages from the other presidential contenders and have yet to find anything profound.  I have, however, eaten lots of chocolate.

I am still laughing at the picture of Ted Kennedy with “Change we can believe in.” How long has he been in the senate?

As for subliminal messages, maybe it’s the Navy brat in me but when I see McCain’s logo, I think of some Department of Defense memo. And of course, that navy blue and gold…

Love you too Badrose!

I agee - in fact my mother just said that one time when she saw an “Ad” or was watching stuff at his rally’s that she saw “subliminal messages” and thats what made me search out that topic and low and behold I found this site.

I never really thought about it, until now. But how can a man whom I never heard of until this election - has SO many people for him when he was as well known as Romney?

You need to look into the Lexus commercials… They’ve been running the heck out of them… the one that comes to mind is the one where they are blasting his “signed sealed and delivered” campaign song.

CNN & other news media stations has made him look like a political god from the start and put him on a high horse. Notice how they replay his same repeated speeches over & over and then some more… He was spoon fed to us on so many levels. All I hear is him blabbing about change, what change? you never hear the details cause there isn’t any that are good, and they’ve downplayed everything from Hillary.

They’ve rigged the poles to favor him. They made them out to look like the educated crowd votes for him… to make people feel like they weren’t smart if they didn’t vote for him, or if they voted for someone else. All the reason the campaign was lunched from college campuses in the first place.

His Followers follow him like zombies most are just rich kids who have no idea what’s going on. They’re trying to play up the “young people” vote for Obama deal to suffle in older people to make them feel like they’re part of the young crowd if they vote for him.

The Media downplayed him saying “No” to the Mi & Fl votes being counted… So he could gain the momentum, and the race. This was after Howard Dean said to let the candidates decide. Obama didn’t do anything about it considering it favored him and was the game changer. Of course though they had this all already worked out.

The whole Rev write thing got swept under the rug, and they tried to quickly move away from it.

He’s said everything he needs to say to be elected even if he had to lie about it.

Time Magazine is declaring him the winner, even though he doesn’t have all the delegates yet.

This stuff is everywhere and I’ve only mentioned a few things, most of the rest of it is going under the radar, and now that I’ve woken up to it I can’t trust none of this anymore…

It’s killed my dreams for hope & change… Everything he’s claiming to be about.

=(

It’s all a big scam & a hoax and people are dumb enough to fall for it.

I’m sure after it’s all said & done and people finally start waking up to this though it will favor McCain pretty well.
