Great post! Unfortunately, I actually stop at MSNBC sometimes when flipping through the channels.

Grrrr - what a stupid thing to say.

Just goes to show how ignorant and condescending some talking heads can be . . .

If by “redneck,” Ms. Mitchell meant “Southern, genteel, polite, and respectful,” then count me in.
If she meant “ignorant, intolerant, and bigoted,” then she should look in the mirror.

Ms. Mitchell made an ignorant comment, ironically in a condescending manner. She is in the upper echelon of the press, and makes a comment like that? Does she still wonder, after her gaffe yesterday, why the press is distrusted more and more every day? Her remarks were simply wrong. By the way, Ms. Mitchell…Bristol is IN of Appalachia.

Mitchell did not make an offhanded comment. She voiced the opinion and knowledge of the United States in the pea brains of 99% of those supporting Hussein O. Hussein being from Ill didn’t know it connected to Ky, one of the 57 states. Elitest snobs is the printable description of them.

Amen! Funny how the media has kept this pretty quiet and it took a couple of days for me to even hear about it. Could you imagine all the hubbub if McCain said something offensive about the inner city folks?
